Where we come from

Our history, in brief.

Before the nine business units there was one company, one phone line and two brands to represent. This is the beginning, told with the photographs and documents that survive.

1989
Multecsa is founded
Multecsa, the Group's parent company, starts in Monterrey with a trade that is simple to describe and hard to do well: finding the communication equipment each client needed and delivering it properly. Everything else comes from there.

1991
The start: premises and a fleet of its own
A place of its own, a sign and two sides of Monterrey to serve. A company still small that already represented world-class brands, and carried its name across the city every day.
1995
Major growth
In six years the company goes from a storefront with a sign to a building of its own, fifteen phone lines and three brand representations: Panasonic, Brother and CedeTel. The staff photograph from that year says more than any figure about how much it had grown.
1999
10th Anniversary
The tenth anniversary is celebrated with the whole team together, and the regional press covers it. That page is today the document proving the Group has operated since 1989.

The Group centralizes its operation in a new building
The Group centralizes its operation in a new building, with the space and the conditions to serve more clients and grow on more fronts.
2005
The Group consolidates around its business units
The Group consolidates around its business units, formalizing the incorporation of independent companies: the engineering practices, electronic security and connectivity, and later lighting.

2012
Infrastructure on the production floor
A hundred people working toward growth. This is what a place looks like where infrastructure has to work without stopping the line.
2014
The operation crosses borders
A working meeting in front of a map of the world. The Group stops looking only at Monterrey, with international offices and sites.
2015
Strategic alliance with Panasonic
Panasonic executives travel to Monterrey to sit down with the Group and form a strategic alliance, national and regional across Latin America, for joint growth.
2019
The Group expands into the gas industry
The Group takes its infrastructure into Mexico's gas industry. Ribbon cutting on site, with the equipment already installed.
2024
Today's corporate office
The Group's corporate administration at the Valle Oriente offices, coordinating the independent business units.
